  1. Holiday TinkerCAD 5:30 p.m.

    December 10, 2019, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ The Maker Spot

    Make Christmas extra merry this year with a homemade ornament! Join us in The Maker Spot on Tuesday, December 10 to create your own holiday ornament while learning the basics of 3D modeling in TinkerCAD, a free, easy-to-use app for 3D design. TinkerCAD is beginner-friendly, and a great introduction working in Autodesk modeling software. This is a free event, but registration is required.

    Please read The Maker Usage Policy for more information. All attendees must complete a Maker Agreement before attending the class. Please arrive early to the class so that it can begin on time.

    This class is open to those 10 years of age and older. Children ages 10-13 must have a parent attend class with them.

    In this class you will learn:

    • The basics of solid modeling with CAD
    • Basic TinkerCAD commands
    • How to create a custom 3D holiday Ornament that can eventually be 3d printed

Events for Children

  1. Toddler Time 10:00 a.m.

    December 10, 2019, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ Polly's Room

    This 30-minute interactive program for Toddlers, 18 to 36 months, and their caregivers features stories, finger play, action rhymes, and songs. Toddlers will be introduced to sounds, letter recognition and new words that will help them grow into pre-readers. After the program, toddlers and their caregivers are invited to stay and play with other attendees.

  2. Chess Club 4:00-5:30 p.m.

    December 10, 2019, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Library Community Room

    Chess Club meets every Tuesday from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the Community Room. Hone your skills or learn the game from chess enthusiasts from ages 6 to 18. No registration necessary; just show up! Please call the Children’s Department at 817-427-6818 for more information.
