Weather

National Weather Service
The U.S. government's site for local, national, and international weather, which includes some historical data. Current Conditions gives the weather world-wide. Of particular interest is a listing of all the active weather warnings in effect in the U.S.

United States Weather Pages
Weather information for the United States, searchable by zip code or location, among other options. The home  page has severe weather statements; links to an almanac; a glossary with definitions of meteorological terms, such as dew point and transit; an event planner with predictions of probable conditions at future dates; and a very useful QuickCast feature which gives detailed information for specific locations. This includes current temperature, precipitation, wind speed, the National Weather Service forecast, radar and satellite maps, and sun and moon rise and set times and phases.

UM Weather
Most comprehensive and up-to-date source of world-wide weather links. A section of Weather Cams that take live pictures of current weather conditions in major North American tourist spots is an added attraction. A non-profit service sponsored by The Weather Underground at the University of Michigan.

WeatherPost
Comprehensive U.S. and international coverage, including forecasts for 220 countries and 3,600 cities (2,300 in the U.S.). Users can either browse or use the search engine. If you're looking for more than predictions, the site includes satellite photos, air quality maps, weather glossaries, and an archive of historical weather data. From the Washington Post.
