InterLibrary Loan

No Library Can Have Everything, but...

As a customer of this library, you have access to a world of information through a service called INTERLIBRARY LOAN. Books, audiobooks on CD, audiobooks on tape, magazine and journal articles, items on microfilm, and genalogical information not available here may be available at other libraries around the world. Just contact one of our library staff members to begin your search.

More About InterLibrary Loan

Not everything is available. Bestsellers, books published during the last year, reference books, genealogy publications, test study books, videos, music compact discs, records, and rare and archival materials are almost always unavailable. Please keep this in mind when requesting an item.

Your material will usually arrive in two weeks, but it could take longer. We willl try hard to get your books or photocopies for you on or before the date you need them, so let us know when you need the material you are requesting.

Most items are provided free of charge, however some lending libraries do require fees. Tell us how much you are willing to spend for the material you are requesting.

The loan period of an item depends on the length of time allowed by the lending library. If you wish to extend the loan period, you must contact this library at least three days before the item is due back so we can notify the lending library of your request. They will make the final decision on whethrer or not to grant you an extension.

If you lose or damage something you have borrowed through InterLibrary Loan, the lending library will request that you pay for the damage or loss and will probably add a processing fee.

Please don't be late returning items. There is probably somebody somewhere else in the world waiting to read what you have just read, and like any library, InterLibrary Loan is dedicated to sharing.

We encourage you to use the InterLibrary Loan Service this library provides. If you can't find it here, maybe we can find your book in a place as far away as Japan, or as close as Oklahoma. It's worth a try, and if we find it for you, it will be worth a whole lot more.
