  1. Virtual Storytime 10:30 a.m.

    Storytimes will be premiered live on our Facebook on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. After the premiere, the video will be available on our website and YouTube channel for the duration of our closure. This program is similar to our in-person storytime and is geared towards young children, ages 3-6 years old. This program includes stories, action rhymes, and/or songs. Storytime provides a foundation for building a life-long love of books and reading.

  1. Harry Potter DIY Crafts for Teens 2:30 p.m.

    July 28, 2020, 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM @ Online; Zoom

    Join us for some crafts inspired by the wizarding world! Ms. Monica will guide you through two Harry Potter inspired activities at this online DIY workshop for teens! Using the supplies in your kit we will make a Bowtruckle and a hanging ornament.

    How It Works:

    • Sign up through Eventbrite to reserve your spot.
    • You'll receive an email with your order number & access link.
    • Pick up your craft kit Monday-Tuesday from Children's Desk or through Library Express, our curbside delivery service. Please show proof of registration when picking up your kit.
    • Use the access link in your confirmation email to log in to the Zoom room.

    This is a free online Robotics program for NRH Library patrons in grades 6-12 hosted in Zoom, a remote conferencing service. Space is limited; registration is required.

The Maker Spot

  1. Online Crochet Basics 4:00 p.m.

    July 28, 2020, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Online - This class will be conducted using Zoom

    Learn the basics of crochet in this introductory online class. Students will learn crocheting basics like what a chain is, how to make a single stitch, and will work on a simple project. This class is for ages 16+ and will be taught live in zoom.

    Attendees will need access to a computer, tablet, or smart device that can connect to the internet, and preferably has video chat capabilities (ie camera or webcam, and a mic).
