  1. Virtual Storytime 10:30 a.m.

    Storytimes will be premiered live on our Facebook on Tuesday & Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. After the premiere, the video will be available on our website and YouTube channel for the duration of our closure. This program is similar to our in-person storytime and is geared towards young children, ages 3-6 years old. This program includes stories, action rhymes, and/or songs. Storytime provides a foundation for building a life-long love of books and reading.

Events for Teens

  1. Teen DIY Craft: Marbleized Mugs 2:30 p.m.

    July 14, 2020, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ Online; Zoom

    Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to join us for a virtual DIY crafts workshop where they will learn the art of marbleized painting using nail polish and water. Supplies are limited; registration is required. How It Works:

    • Sign up through Eventbrite to reserve your spot. There are "With Kit" and "No Kit" ticket options available.
    • You'll receive an email with your order number & access link
    • If you select the "with kit" option, you'll need to pick up your craft kit Monday-Tuesday from Children's Desk or through Library Express, our curbside delivery service (note: please make sure to have your order info handy)
    • Those who select "no kit" will want to gather the supplies listed in your confirmation email
    • On the day of the event, use the access link to log in to the Zoom room

    This is a free online Mayor’s Summer Reading Club program for NRH Library patrons grades 6-12 hosted in Zoom. We hope to see you there!

The Maker Spot

  1. Online Crochet Basics 4:00 p.m.

    July 14, 2020, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Online - This class will be conducted using Zoom

    Learn the basics of crochet in this introductory online class. Students will learn crocheting basics like what a chain is, how to make a single stitch, and will work on a simple project. This class is for ages 16+ and will be taught live in zoom.

    Attendees will need access to a computer, tablet, or smart device that can connect to the internet, and preferably has video chat capabilities (ie camera or webcam, and a mic).
