Events for Adults

  1. Book Break 1:00-2:00 p.m.

    July 30, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM @ Library Board Room

    Like to read? Want to make new friends? Join us for Book Break– our monthly book club for adults to read a book, have some fun and meet new people. The group meets in the Library Board Room on the last Wednesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome! Book of the month: I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai. Events for Children

  1. Toddler Time 10:00-10:30 a.m.

    July 29, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ Library Community Room

    This 30 minute interactive program for Toddlers, 18 to 36 months, and their caregivers features stories, finger play, action rhymes and songs. Toddlers will be introduced to sounds, letter recognition and new words that will help them grow into pre-readers. After the program, toddlers and their caregivers are invited to stay and play with other attendees. Please call the Children’s Department at 817-427-6818 for more information.

  2. Chess Club 4:00-5:30 p.m.

    July 29, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Library Community Room

    Chess Club meets every Tuesday from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the Community Room. Hone your skills or learn the game from chess enthusiasts from ages 6 to 18. No registration necessary; just show up! Please call the Children’s Department at 817-427-6818 for more information.

  3. Sunset Story Time 7:00-7:30 p.m.

    July 29, 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Polly's Room

    Young children, ages 3 to 6 years, are invited to enjoy a variety of stories, action rhymes and/or songs during this 30 minute program. Story times provide a foundation for building a lifelong love of books and reading. Please call the Children’s Department at 817-427-6818 for more information. This later time is great for working parents!

  4. Story Time 10:15-10:45 a.m. OR 11:15-11:45 a.m.

    July 30, 10:15 AM - 11:45 AM @ Polly's Room

    Young children, ages 3 to 6 years, are invited to enjoy a variety of stories, action rhymes and/or songs during this 30 minute program. Story times provide a foundation for building a lifelong love of books and reading. After each program, children and their caregivers are invited to stay for a fun craft activity.
