  1. Mapping the Journey: A Caregiver Workshop by the Alzheimer's Association 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

    April 22, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Library Community Room

    Caring for someone with dementia is perhaps one of the most important commitments a person will make. To help you care for your loved one, the Alzheimer’s Association will offer a FREE four-session workshop in April. The following topics will be covered by experts in the field: Overview of Dementia, meeting Daily Challenges, Managing Difficult Behaviors, Legal and Financial Considerations and Caring for the Caregiver.   2. Book Break 1:00-2:00 p.m.

    April 29, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM @ Library Board Room

    Like to read? Want to make new friends? Join us for Book Break– our monthly book club for adults to read a book, have some fun and meet new people. The group meets in the Library Board Room on the last Wednesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome! Book of the month: Storyteller by Jodi Picoult.   1. Toddler Time 10:00-10:30 a.m.

    April 21, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ Polly's Room

    This 30 minute interactive program for Toddlers, 18 to 36 months, and their caregivers features stories, finger play, action rhymes and songs. Toddlers will be introduced to sounds, letter recognition and new words that will help them grow into pre-readers. After the program, toddlers and their caregivers are invited to stay and play with other attendees. Please call the Children’s Department at 817-427-6818 for more information.

  2. Chess Club 4:00-5:30 p.m.

    April 21, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Community Room

    Chess Club meets every Tuesday from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the Community Room. Hone your skills or learn the game from chess enthusiasts from ages 6 to 18. No registration necessary; just show up! Please call the Children’s Department at 817-427-6818 for more information.

  3. Sunset Story Time 7:00 - 7:30 p.m.

    April 21, 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Polly's Room

    Sunset Story Time will feature the same stories, action rhymes and/or songs from the Wednesday morning story time, but at a later, more convenient time for working parents. This story time is designed to build early reading skills and will help turn young readers into lifelong book lovers. Call the Children's Department at 817-427-6818 for more information.

  4. Story Time 10:15-10:45 a.m. OR 11:15-11:45 a.m.

    Young children, ages 3 to 6 years, are invited to enjoy a variety of stories, action rhymes and/or songs during this 30 minute program. Story times provide a foundation for building a lifelong love of books and reading. After each program, children and their caregivers are invited to stay for a fun craft activity.
