E-Learning Help

Live academic tutoring, writing help, and test prep for a variety of subject areas. Tutors guide students through homework challenges and help them develop the necessary skills to complete assignments on their own through an online classroom.

An e-learning resource that provides test prep for GED equivalency, citizenship, career certification exams, college admissions, and more. It also includes learning modules for academic skills improvement and adult learning. Help is available in both English and Spanish.

A fun and free way to learn over 90 different languages with personalized courses which include: study guides, audio lessons, video phrases, movies, music, and more.

Khan Academy
A non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by Salman Khan with the goal of creating a set of online tools that help educate students. The organization produces short lessons in the form of videos. Its website also includes supplementary practice exercises and materials for educators. Khan Academy also created homeschool schedules to help families during school closures.


Hippocampus
A free educational resource to help studies from middle school to college. It provides tutorials in math, natural science, social science, and humanities.

Browse our digital collection catch up on some reading! We have eBooks and eAudiobooks for a variety of ages that you can download instantly to your computer, tablet, or smartphone.


TumbleBooks
TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books with fiction, non-fiction, foreign-language, and read-along titles. TumbleBooks teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’ll love.


Virtual Museum Tours


The Perot Museum of Nature and Science
This local museum created a special collection called Amaze Your Brain at Home, which consists of video talks, experiments, and other projects that people can do at home, with materials that they might have around the house. 


Dallas Museum of Art
While you are visiting local museums, visit the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA), a museum that represents a full range of world culture, through Google’s Cultural Institue.


The British Museum
Located in the heart of London, and allowing virtual visitors to take an exciting virtual tour. Visitors can also discover the Rosetta Stone and Egyptian mummies along with several hundred artifacts.


The Musée d’Orsay, Paris
A popular gallery that includes famous works from artists like Monet, Cézanne, and Gauguin, among others.


The Van Gogh Museum
This museum in Amsterdam is an excellent virtual tour for anyone who is a fan of this artist. This virtual tour includes over 200 paintings, 500 drawings, and over 750 personal letters.
