Online Embroidery Machine Class

In this video, Kathy will walk you through the basics of getting started on Emily, our Janome MC 200E Embroidery Machine. This is perfect if you just need a little refresher before jumping into a project, or if you can’t make it to one of the Embroidery Machine Basics Classes. If you feel that you would like a hands-on class before using Emily on your own, visit our event calendar to register for the next available class.

  • If patrons feel confident to use the embroidery machine after watching this video, they can stop by The Maker Spot during staff available hours on Tuesdays from 5:00-8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and take a short test that will certify them to use the machine.
  • Once patrons have passed their test they may come into to use the equipment. Remember as of October 1st, 2018 non-residents over the age of 18 are required to sign up for a monthly membership to use the equipment outside of classes and events.
  • Patrons will still need to bring their own fabric, stabilizer, and thread to use the machine.
